The Ride4Life
Story

The Ride4Life started out as the brainchild of Andy Coles and Damien Natale in 2016. Joined by Gavin Pumford they rode a 185 mile route from Uris and Lutine’s head office in Doncaster to Lloyds of London, home of the Lutine Bell, raising a modest amount for charity.

That one-off ride ended up becoming an annual tradition, going from strength to strength with every outing, both in terms of rider numbers and money raised. In the years that followed riders have taken on a range of challenges, from re-imagined Doncaster to London routes, to a covid-enforced Doncaster endurance loop and even an International jaunt from Paris.

Money raised has gone to help some fantastic charities over the years, including Samaritans, MIND and Cyclists Fighting Cancer.

2021 saw Ride4Life raise an unprecedented £25,000 for Samaritans, earning the team a special commendation at Ardonagh’s annual Spotlight awards ceremony.

Sadly, and as many of you know, Andy and Damien tragically lost their lives in a road traffic accident on 1 st June 2020 whilst training for that year’s event. It’s with them forever in our hearts that we ride each year, continuing their legacy and raising money for great causes.
